MILAN, Jun 9 (Class Editori) -- The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is preparing to celebrate one of the most anticipated economic and cultural events of the year: on June 14, Shanghai will host the Asia-Pacific Business Roundtable and, in the evening, the prestigious Panda d'Oro Gala Awards 2025.
Organized with the support of the Embassy of Italy in the People's Republic of China, the Consulate General in Shanghai, and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the two events promise to strengthen ties between Italy, China, and the entire Asia-Pacific region, with the contribution of prominent partners such as AIIB, SACE, SIMEST, and the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce in the region under Assocamerestero.
The Roundtable will take place at the Shanghai Design Innovation Institute and will serve as a platform for strategic dialogue on the Asia-Pacific economy, with a particular focus on opportunities for Made in Italy. Key institutional and entrepreneurial figures are expected to speak, including Lorenzo Riccardi, President of the CICC.
"The Asia-Pacific region stands out as the largest in the world in terms of population, geographical scale, and free trade integration. It is also a global leader in GDP growth, making it a crucial area for the economic development of Made in Italy. China is the driving force behind the current and future growth of the Asia-Pacific region".
In addition to Riccardi, the meeting will include the Italian Ambassador to the PRC Massimo Ambrosetti, representatives of the EU in China, AIIB, ENI, De'Longhi, SACE, and SIMEST, along with the presidents of the Italian Chambers of Commerce in India, Vietnam, Thailand, and Hong Kong. B2B meetings between companies and institutions will also be scheduled.
In the evening, attention will shift to the W Hotel in Shanghai, where the 2025 edition of the Panda D'Oro Gala Awards will take place, the symbolic event of the CICC that annually celebrates Italian and Chinese companies that excel in promoting quality, sustainability, and innovation.
With over 700 expected participants, 39 nominated companies, and 8 award categories, the Gala will offer a unique combination of business networking, culture, and elegance. Among the awards to be presented: Golden Panda Award, Innovation Award, Sustainability Award, Italian Excellence Award, and others. The evening will also include a luxury raffle, a gourmet dinner curated by the Italian Federation of Chefs, and live musical performances, including jazz vocalist Heidi Li and the orchestra conducted by Roberto Fiore.
Additionally, two significant anniversaries will be celebrated: 55 years of diplomatic relations between Italy and China and 100 years of Treccani. The event will also pay tribute to Italian cinema and creativity, coinciding with the Shanghai International Film Festival.
June 14 is thus set to be a key day for strengthening Italy's role in the new Asian economic geography, while simultaneously enhancing culture, entrepreneurship, and economic diplomacy. (All rights reserved)
