The Promotion Event on Implementation Plans for China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Projects was held on June 13 during the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Changsha City, central China's Hunan Province, attracting over 500 senior officials, think tank experts, and business representatives from countries such as Mali, Mauritania, Uganda to attend the event.
Themed "Forging New Models for China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation, Charting a Blueprint for Pioneering Partnership", the event aimed to promote China-Africa cooperation on signature projects and small-scale yet impactful projects. It also showcased the China-Africa economic and trade cooperation comprehensive service system and industrial cooperation project implementation plans.
During the event, a general implementation plan for China-Africa industrial cooperation projects was released. Deals of 19 key projects, including China-Africa economic and trade cooperation think tank strategic partnership project, the Sikasso Special Economic Zone construction project in Mali , and Kenya 40MW photovoltaic power generation project, were signed, with a total amount exceeding one billion U.S. dollars.
New digital platforms including a blockchain-based China-Africa economic and trade innovation service platform, a China-Africa economic and trade large language model, and a China-Africa economic and trade smart security service platform were also unveiled to provide full-process services for China-Africa cross-border trade and project matchmaking.
Additionally released were a proposal for creating a think tank for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, the Blue Book of China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation: Development Report (2025), and China-Africa economic and trade index report (2025).
The promotion event was jointly hosted by China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council, China Economic Information Service, Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, China Construction Bank Hunan Branch, IFRS Foundation Beijing Office, China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Yueyang Area Administrative Committee, and China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area Yuhua District Administrative Committee.
