BEIJING, May 20 (Xinhua) -- The 17th Anhui International Tea Industry Expo was held in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province from May 16 to 19.
Themed "Tea of Anhui China, Welcoming the World", the event attracted more than 800 tea-related enterprises and over 1,300 purchasers, becoming an efficient platform for trade matchmaking and cooperation across the industry chain.
During the opening ceremony, officials from Anhui's six major tea-producing cities including Hefei, Lu'an, Xuancheng, Chizhou, Anqing, and Huangshan promoted their local tea brands. 32 tea-related projects with a total investment of more than 2.2 billion yuan were signed on site.
This year's expo covers an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, featuring participation from 10 cities across Anhui, along with over 50 well-known tea companies nationwide.
Beyond product showcases, the event also organized a rich program of thematic events, such as dedicated procurement matchmaking sessions, knowledge-sharing forums on tea technology innovation, cultural marketplaces showcasing Anhui tea traditions, brand promotion symposiums, and targeted consumption support programs.
