More people should learn about traditional Chinese culture, said Jonatan, a Spanish attendee at the event. He introduced that he would often record his experiences living in China and post them on social media platforms.

Karina, a participant from Chile, acknowledged tangyuan's cultural significance as a traditional delicacy for the occasion of the Lantern Festival after tasting it, noting that it's suitable for winter times given the warmth and sweetness.

Bringing his own hand-drown lantern riddles, Dutch artist Danny said that he hoped that through such activities, foreign friends can experience the traditional customs of the Lantern Festival.

Participants also joined the fish lantern parade during the event. Holding the lanterns and chasing one another, the foreign visitors and the local residents shared excitement under joyful ambiance. (Edited by Yu Huichen with Xinhua Silk Road, yuhuichen@xinhua.org)
