SHENZHEN, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese autonomous driving startup DeepRoute.ai on Thursday announced that it has reached a strategic cooperation agreement with automobile manufacturer Smart to develop an AI-driven intelligent car.
The autonomous driving system developed by DeepRoute.ai will enable smart driving from parking space to parking space, tackling complex scenarios like roundabouts, acute-angle turns, congested narrow roads and unmarked roads with ease, according to the Shenzhen-based firm.
"We trust that the strategic partnership with DeepRoute.ai will deliver a top-tier intelligent experience for Smart users," said Yang Jun, CTO of Smart, which is a joint venture between the Mercedes-Benz Group AG and Geely Automobile.
"Cooperation with Smart can empower DeepRoute.ai to expand its overseas business," said Zhou Guang, CEO of DeepRoute.ai.
