BEIJING, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- The State Grid Changji Power Supply Company has played a pivotal role in supporting the rapid growth of Hongchen Home Textiles, a thriving cotton textile enterprise in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Learning about the company's escalating energy demands, State Grid Changji branch invested 325,700 yuan to upgrade infrastructure. The upgrades included installing 86 meters of new 10-kilovolt power lines, 2.91 kilometers of low-voltage lines, and a 160-kilovolt-ampere transformer. These improvements ensured uninterrupted and reliable electricity for the factory, even during peak production periods.
With automated production lines, the company has increased output from two quilts per day to as many as 1,200 quilts, said Zhou Zunhuai, founder of the company.
Since its establishment in 2022 amid the rise of livestreaming e-commerce, Hongchen Home Textiles has become a local economic driver. The orders it receives can reach about 2,000 daily in peak seasons. At present, the company boasts an annual income of about 4.5 million yuan.
When the company expanded its production lines to meet surging orders for Xinjiang cotton products, State Grid Changji branch responded swiftly. In just 17 days, the branch installed a 250-kilovolt-ampere transformer, enabling the factory to scale up its operations.
To better support local businesses, State Grid Changji branch has implemented tailored services, including real-time load monitoring and proactive electrical inspections. These initiatives address potential issues promptly, ensuring seamless power supply and fostering the region's economic growth.
