BEIJING, Apr. 19 (Xinhua) -- The State Grid Anyang Power Supply Co., based in Anyang, a city in central China’s Henan Province, deploys a fast fault location system that can efficiently provide network analysis, monitor power devices and switches and find distributed network fault sections.
According to the company, the system has analyzed local low-voltage distribution lines faults for more than 140 times since it was put into operation in July 2023, with an effective analysis rate of 85 percent. Now, it reduces fault location time from 30 minutes to one minute, efficiently solving distributed network malfunctions.
Furthermore, the grid company effectively optimized consumption level of distributed photovoltaic in different time periods, in a bid to avoid high voltage problems during the peak period of photovoltaic power generation.
In recent years, the company has used digital technologies to maintain voltage stability, and was selected as demonstration zone for optimizing voltage management by the State Grid Corporation of China in 2023. (Edited by Wang Sheng, wangsheng@xinhua.org)
