BEIJING, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- As rural tourism booms in Zhu Village in Linyi City of east China's Shandong Province, State Grid Linyi Power Supply Company, a branch of State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company, have constructed an electric vehicle (EV) charging station with six EV charging piles and a 100-kWh energy storage station to boost rural revitalization.
The photovoltaic (PV) charging station has a capacity of 115 kilowatts. The electricity it generates is primarily used for powering the EV charging piles and for the scenic spot's consumption. On average, it produces about 12,000 kWh of electricity per month. In April, the charging piles provided 192 charging sessions, with a total of 5,049 kWh charged.
To enhance the efficiency of PV use and stabilize the grid supply, the 100-kWh PV cascade energy storage charging station was built in Zhu Village. This device stores energy during peak grid hours and is utilized during peaks in EV charging and nighttime charging.
Since the operation of the charging station, the number of EV self-driving tours in Zhu Village scenic spot has increased by more than 1.5 times compared to before.
