BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang met with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe in Beijing on Thursday.
Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that China stands ready to work with Sri Lanka to promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and push for steady and sustained progress in China-Sri Lanka relations.
Wickremesinghe said Sri Lanka is willing to fully tap into its geographical advantage and continue to engage deeply in Belt and Road cooperation.
