BEIJING, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Yuncheng County in Heze City of east China's Shandong Province is known as the hometown of traditional Chinese musical instrument Guzheng.
It is learned that Guzheng in Yuncheng County was included in the first batch of Shandong Province's intangible cultural heritage list in 2009, gaining more and more public attention.
At the local workshop of Diao Zhaoxia, an intangible culture heritage inheritor, the well-made Guzhengs are simple and elegant, with various components interlocked with each other and screws almost invisible.
Influenced by local workshops' exquisite Guzheng crafts, a large number of native Guzheng performers have emerged in Yuncheng and have long been active in the music industry .
By their recommendation, Guzhengs in Yuncheng are sought after by Guzheng players from all over the world. They have been exported to a dozen of countries such as the United States, Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, etc.(Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
