BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd has recently invited overseas guests to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in Suzhou, Xuzhou and other places, east China's Jiangsu Province.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is usually celebrated with family reunions and mooncake sharing on the 15th day of August on the Chinese lunar calendar when the moon is the fullest and brightest. It falls on Sept. 29 this year.
The local overseas students, enterprise employees and other foreign friends and representatives wore Hanfu to participate in activities of listening to Kunqu Opera, guessing lantern riddles, throwing pots, embroidering sachets and other Chinese traditional folk customs, to experience the atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival together.
