BEIJING, Sept. 11(Xinhua) -- Chinese EV maker Aion launched its first car for the international markets called the AION Y Plus in Bangkok of Thailand recently, reported China Securities Journal.
In June this year, Aion signed a memorandum of cooperation with a Thailand dealer, marking its official entry into the Thai market. After the launch of AION Y Plus, Aion will create a user-centric channel model, featuring a multi-level sales channel system, and deploy sales outlets in major cities, including popular tourist cities.
Up to now, Aion has joined hands with four major dealer groups in Thailand and deployed 30 sales stores. It is expected that by the end of the year, 50 sales stores and service centers will be set up by Aion to provide consumers with a better car service experience.
Currently, Aion is accelerating its globalization strategy and the company sees Thailand as its first base of globalization strategy. In the future, Aion will build global production and sales bases in Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East to construct a world-class new energy vehicle industry system.
