JAKARTA, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Ridwan Kamil, governor of Indonesia's West Java province has said the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR) will boost new economic growth and create more development opportunities in the country.
The high-speed line, a landmark project under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative, connects Indonesia's capital Jakarta and Bandung, capital of West Java province.
West Java is the most populous province of Indonesia, with rich tourism resources.
The governor points out that the high-speed railway will further boost tourism in the province.
The governor believes the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway will become the symbol of a good relationship between China and Indonesia.
