BEIJING, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Two ships were publicly auctioned on shipbid.net and sold on Wednesday, which is regarded as a new sign showing the confidence in the long-term steady recovery of the Chinese economy.
Among the deals, the 7,600-DWT general dry cargo ship named "HAI XING CHUANG XIN" (IMO: 9620358), which operates ocean-going voyages, was sold at the price of 23.30 million yuan (about 3.3 million U.S. dollars), about 60 times of the auction offer.
Another ship is the 18,000-DWT Bulk Carrier called "XI WANG ZHI XING", which was sold at 19.60 million yuan.
Eyeing on the recovering global shipping demand and the long-term steady recovery of the Chinese economy, over 20 shipowners participated in these auctions, despite the uncertainties in the global economy.
