BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Hunan has activated early warning and emergency response mechanism, building a flood prevention safety net with practical actions in respond to the risk of heavy rainfall and flooding during the upcoming flood season, according to the company.

It is learned that State Grid Hunan has strengthened contact with local meteorological and hydrological departments, and made multiple preparations in advance.
In response to this round of bad weather, State Grid Hunan arranged a total of 1,659 people, 378 emergency repair vehicles, 37 power generation vehicles, and 58 generators to stand by. Specific response work such as special inspection and care of equipment, door-to-door power supply service, and material inventory preparationwas also carried out.
In addition, State Grid Hunan has also strengthened information communication with local governments, villages, using WeChat and other methods to timely release reminders for safe electricity use in continuous heavy rainfall weather.
