BEIJING, April 27 (Xinhua) -- CIMC Vehicles (Group) Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of semi-trailers and specialty vehicles, on Wednesday released its performance report in the first quarter of 2023, indicating continuously growing overseas business, reported Shanghai Securities News.
The company achieved an operating revenue of 6.58 billion yuan (about 950.42 million U.S. dollars) in the reported period, a year-on-year increase of 28.29 percent. Net profit attributable to the parent company reached 479 million yuan, surging 285.25 percent year on year.
36,386 vehicles (or sets of vehicles) were sold by CIMC Vehicles globally in the first quarter, up 9.57 percent from the last year, indicating that the company is maintaining stable profitability in both domestic and overseas markets.
Specifically, under the policy stimulus in the North America region and the booming demand of multimodal transportation business, the company's business in the region witnessed a sound growth momentum in the first quarter.
Stepping into the second quarter, CIMC Vehicles has pledged to actively build a new development pattern for its North America business combining sales networks and share of channels, as a bid to achieve steady increase in market share. At the meantime, the company will also seek new growth opportunities in the European market.
