BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Hunan completed 2023 power line maintenance of the ±800 kV Yazhong-Jiangxi UHVDC Line Hunan section on Monday, according to the company.
The ±800 kV Yazhong-Jiangxi UHVDC Line is the first UHVDC transmission project completed and put into operation by State Grid during the 14th Five-Year Plan period(2021-2025), passing through 10 cities (prefectures) and 31 counties in Yunnan Province, Guizhou Province and Hunan Province. Since its operation, Hunan section has transmitted a total of about 35.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to the Central China. It is an important channel for transmitting clean energy and providing a strong guarantee for achieving carbon neutrality.
According to the power outage plan, the Hunan section operation is scheduled from April 15 to April 24. In order to ensure the orderly development of the power outage maintenance of the line, State Grid Hunan dispatched 28 maintenance teams to carry out 3981 routine maintenance on the line, and orderly carried out all-round inspection of the line.
