BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) -- China Economic Information Service (CEIS), a subsidiary of Xinhua News Agency, and the People's Government of Jiangbei District, Chongqing, jointly unveiled the western center of the national financial information platform Xinhua Finance in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Monday, aiming to deepen financial cooperation.
According to the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement signed during the unveiling ceremony, the two sides will further carry out in-depth cooperation in financial information services, financial data security, high-end think tanks, information release and other fields by sharing resources and complementing advantages.
The newly established western center is expected to promote the cooperation between the two sides and among regulatory authorities, financial institutions, key enterprises and research institutes to build an autonomous and controllable financial information service ecology and jointly safeguard the national financial information security.
Finance is the most eye-catching business card of Jiangbei District of Chongqing and the district continues to promote the agglomeration of financial institutions, financial functions and financial talents, said Teng Hongwei, Party chief of Jiangbei District, adding that the establishment of the western center of Xinhua Finance will contribute to the development of Chongqing as the western financial center in China.
The establishment of the western center of Xinhua Finance in Jiangbei District marks the deep integration of the national financial information platform and western financial center and also an active exploration of the construction of local digital government enabled by Xinhua News Agency, which provides a reference for more far-reaching cooperation in the future, said Yang Mu, vice president of CEIS and general director of Xinhua Finance project.
Xinhua Finance will give full play to its information, data, communication and think tank capabilities to provide comprehensive information services for local departments, financial institutions and enterprises, aiming to improve the region's resource carrying capacity and service effectiveness as the western financial center, according to an official from the western center of Xinhua Finance.
