BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese photovoltaic (PV) company Jinko Solar Co., Ltd. (Jinko Solar, 688223.SH) has provided 635MW N-type Tiger Neo modules to the Al Dhafra PV power station in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), reported China Securities Journal Thursday quoting the company.
Equipped with N-type TOPCon battery technology and new design process, the N-type Tiger Neo modules boast high power, high efficiency, high reliability, low temperature coefficient and better low-light performance among others which can help bring more excellent power generation gains for the Al Dhafra PV power station project.
This series of modules can also help the power station reduce the number, arrays and footprints of components, and save installation time and operation and maintenance costs.
The Al Dhafra PV power station project, with a total installed capacity of 2.1GW, can meet the electricity needs of about 160,000 households in the UAE when completed and put into operation, according to estimation. It can also enable Abu Dhabi to reduce carbon emissions by more than 3.6 million tonnes per year, equivalent to taking 720,000 cars off the road.
It is noteworthy that with N-type Tiger Neo modules, the project is expected to achieve a feed-in tariff of 1.35 cents per kilowatt-hour, a record low.
