BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's home appliance industry reported steady profit growth in the year of 2022, according to the latest data from the China Household Electrical Appliances Association.
Profits totaled 141.8 billion yuan in 2022, jumping 19.9 percent year on year while revenues hit 1.75 trillion yuan, up 1.1 percent year on year during the same period.
China's out put of household air conditioners rose 1.8 percent year on year to 222.473 million units during the one-year period, while production of washing machines reached 91.063 million units, up 4.6 percent from a year earlier.
In the first half of 2022, the market size of clothes dryers and integrated stoves grew by 41.1 percent and 6.5 percent year on year respectively.
