Tourists from Kyrgyzstan give thumbs-up to a policeman at a border inspection station of Irkeshtam port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on June 11, 2019.
BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Irkeshtam port, a land port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has seen over 800 commercial vehicles exported in January 2023, surpassing the total number since the port was officially opened to the public in 2001, Chinanews.com reported Thursday.
As China's westernmost land port, Irkeshtam port is a frontier port connecting the Belt and Road countries in Central and Western Asia.
In order to ensure the convenient customs clearance for exported vehicles, the border inspection station of Irkeshtam port has continuously optimized its management measures, achieving a record high of 137 inspections for exported vehicles in a single day.
