BEIJING, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- A cargo ship carrying 1,100 tons of steel piles produced by Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Union Co., Ltd. (Baogang United Steel) has recently left north China's Tianjin Port for China's Hong Kong, marking the first time for the company's steel pile products entering the Hong Kong market.
Baogang United Steel has started to deploy and implement related certification work for steel pile products in Hong Kong since 2018. After four rounds of authentication and inspection, official certification issued by the Buildings Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government was received for the H-pile steel products in May 2022.
This recent shipment indicates that Baogang United Steel is practicing the development strategy of focusing on high-end products with high added value and high efficiency, aiming for the optimization of the middle and high-end markets.
For the next step, the company will make full efforts to ensure the timely delivery of this first batch of products, under coordination with relevant departments. At the same time, it is expected that Baogang United Steel will continue to explore the steel pile market in Hong Kong and further strengthen its own improvement of product structure and quality.
