BEIJING, Jan. 6(Xinhua) -- China's big data industry saw rapid development in recent years, according to a white paper on the country's big data sector released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) on Wednesday.
According to the white paper, the scale of the country's big data industry amounted to 1.3 trillion yun in 2021, with a compound annual growth rate exceeding 30 percent.
In 2021, the total number of papers published in the field of big data industry in China accounted for 31 percent of the global total, while the volume of authorized patents related to big data sector in the country accounted for more than 50 percent of the world's total.
Besides, the country saw market entities in the big data sector total about 180,000 in 2021.
