BEIJING, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited, a subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China, took multiple measures to secure power use during bad weather, as many areas of Central China’s Hunan province are faced with temperature drop and continuous snowfall recently.
The company drew up the anti-ice emergency response plan on December 25, and conducted comprehensive overhauls of equipment to ensure that they would function well.
At the same time, the company also installed a variety of ice-melting devices in advance to prevent the breakdown of power grid during the snowy weather.
