BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese car manufacturer Chery saw its fourth-generation engine, G4G15, officially roll off the production line recently, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported.
The newest generation engine adopts intelligent combustion system, low-pressure cooling technology, extreme friction reduction and high-efficiency turbocharging, and in-cylinder direct injection technology, which is at the leading level in the industry.
It is reported that the new engine model has extreme performance compared with the second-generation engine, as its torque of medium and low speed is greatly increased by over 10 percent and the fuel consumption is reduced by over 12 percent.
It is expected that Chery's vehicle products equipped with G4G15 engine will be mass-produced and delivered in April 2023.(Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
