BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe freight train carrying chemicals, gaming chairs, sanitary ware, hoovers and other goods departed from Luzhou, Southwest China's Sichuan province Monday, marking regular operation of China-Europe freight train service from Luzhou, according to local railway department.
Through Alashankou port in Xinjiang, the train will arrive in Selyatino of Russia after traveling about 15 days.
It is learned that the train has a cargo weight of 714.9 tonnes, valuing over 15 million yuan. In addition to local enterprises in Luzhou, the goods transported are also from Shandong, Jiangsu, Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces.
Since the inauguration of China-Europe freight trainin January this year, Luzhou has run nine cargo trains, fully reflecting the steady improvement of the overall operating capacity of railway cargo transportationin Luzhou, which will further link up the resources along the Belt and Roadroutesand boost high-quality construction of a new inland opening-up highland in Sichuan.
