MILAN, Nov 28 (Class Editori) — Strategic partnership between the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and Confindustria. The President of the CICC Paolo Bazzoni and the Vice President of Confindustria, headquartered in Viale Dell’Astronomia, Rome, Barbara Beltrame Giacomello, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that lays a solid foundation for future collaboration to support and benefit their respective business networks in both Italy and China.
The partnership will help strengthen Sistema Italia’s positioning in favor of companies already located in the Chinese market. It will also be functional in accompanying Italian companies through a path of internationalization towards the Chinese market, which is confirmed as the world’s largest market for industrial and consumer goods.
The MoU will provide for the organization of promotional, educational and cognitive initiatives that may also involve the various territorial branches of Confindustria, always in line with the strategy and mission of the CICC and Confindustria itself to offer concreteness and effectiveness at the service level to its members.
The Memorandum consolidates a path that the CICC and Confindustria have already been on for some time in fostering the internationalization of Italian companies, which will now be able to count on the solid collaboration of the two associations for the benefit of our country’s business system.
“In China, the opportunities are considerable, but so are the challenges. At a complex time like the present, the structured and widespread presence of the Chamber of Commerce on the Chinese territory and the promotional, educational and cognitive initiatives that the Chamber and Confindustria will organize thanks to the agreement signed today constitute a fundamental tool for the benefit of our companies,” Ambassador of Italy in Beijing Luca Ferrari commented.
“The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce’s strategy of growth, positioning and dialogue in the territory is manifested and concretized through a System action with the Embassy, the Consulates and the Italian Trade Agency. To further strengthen the incisiveness of this joint action, since this summer we have already been working to create an even more direct and continuous connection with business associations in Italy. The Memorandum of Understanding signed today with Confindustria represents the most concrete and significant example of the work of these last months, the basis for a pipeline of joint initiatives for 2023 in favor of our businesses,” Bazzoni stated.
“Despite the fact that uncertainties and complexity factors remain, China confirms itself as an indispensable partner for Italian companies, both in terms of trade and investment,” Beltrame Giacomello pointed out. “In the last ten years, the value of Italian exports to China has more than doubled, while in the last two years record data on bilateral trade have been recorded. Positive and encouraging data, but with still wide margins for improvement. Precisely for this reason, Confindustria considers any useful initiative such as this one a priority to enhance and exploit the still unexpressed potential”.
