GUIYANG, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe freight train carrying 50 40-foot containers of radiators, air compressors and other commodities departed from Guiyang International Land Port on Thursday and through Xinjiang's Alashankou port to Moscow of Russia in the end. It is the 33rd China-Europe freight train starting from southwest China's Guizhou Province since 2021.
On November 18, 2021, Guizhou launched its first China-Europe freight train. Since then, the operation frequency of trains in Guizhou has increased from 2 trains per month to 4 trains monthly. While the cargo routes have gradually extended to Hamburg and Budapest, according to Chinanews.com.
The categories of cargo transportation are becoming increasingly diversified, and more and more made in Guizhou products are going to the world through China-Europe freight trains.
Ou Ge, deputy station manager of Guiyang South Railway Station, said that railway department gives priority to guarantee the smooth operation of China-Europe freight trains, and will further optimize measures to help Guizhou integrate into the national development strategy and serve local economic development.
