MILAN, Oct 24 (Class Editori) — New Chinese player Zonergy strengthens its presence in Italy by signing a “golden” partnership with Mantua-based Mantua Italy-China Trading & Consulting (M.I.C.). Founded in 2007 in Zigong in Sichuan, the company has quickly become a world leader in the production of photovoltaic cells, mini-grids and batteries for energy storage, with an installed capacity of more than 2 GW mainly in countries linked to the Belt and Road Initiative.
Having landed in Milan in recent months, the Chinese company is now launching an offer targeted at farms in Lombardy. Currently, Zonergy has an investment in the construction of photovoltaic power plants with a total installed capacity of more than 1 GW and an energy storage capacity of more than 1 GWh.
“With these digits, we could permanently guarantee supply to Italy,” Guo Jun, President and Executive Director at Zonergy, pointed out from the European headquarters in Milan. “The quality of our offer is certain, our photovoltaic panels are widely tested in several countries”.
The business goal for M.I.C. is 20 million in sales by 2023. Gloria Wang, CEO of M.I.C., is an Italian Chinese entrepreneur who has been organizing many initiatives of collaboration between Italy and China, and the province of Mantua for many years and is the driving force of a wide-ranging exchange project between the two countries.
Within the framework of the agreement with M.I.C., the offer to installers and big entities could potentially be directly useful. “Our mission is to help both Italian companies to face with confidence, competence and credibility the Chinese market, which deeply loves Italian excellences, and Chinese companies to land in the Italian market”.
