BUCHAREST, Oct.6 (Xinhua) -- China and Moldova marked on Thursday the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations by jointly issuing a commemorative envelope and stamp in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.
Moldova attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to maintain friendly ties, and strengthen bilateral economic, trade and investment exchanges, thereby bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples, Nicu Popescu, Moldova's deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs and European integration, said at the ceremony.
The official called China an important partner of Moldova and thanked Beijing for its assistance to his country during difficult times, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukrainian refugee crisis.
Chinese Ambassador Yan Wenbin said that China and Moldova have always cooperated on the basis of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and non-interference in each other's internal affairs. They understood and supported each other on issues concerning each other's core interests, such as national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
China and Moldova are good friends and partners, who can trust and rely on each other, Yan said, adding that China is willing to provide support and assistance to Moldova's economic and social development.
Roman Cojuhari, director of the national postal service Posta Moldovei, also attended the ceremony.
The commemorative envelope and stamp were jointly issued by the national postal services of the two countries.
