TEHRAN, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has recently said his country's cooperation with members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is "very important."
Such cooperation "connects the country with Asia's economic infrastructure," Raisi said in response to a Xinhua question in a press conference on Monday, adding that "it is very important for Iran to be able to have its share of trade and economy in the region."
In September 2021, the 21st summit of the SCO leaders in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, declared the decision to start admitting Iran as a full member of the SCO from an observer.
