BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- The First World Vocational and Technical Education Development Conference (WVTEDC) was held in north China's Tianjin Municipality from Aug. 19 to 20. Zhang Liming, one of the top performers in China's energy and electric power industry, attended the conference with a series of his innovative achievements.
Zhang Liming, an outstanding representative of industrial workers with 35 years' experience in the front line of electric power repairsector, now works in a subsidiary company of State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company and is also a part-time teacher of Tianjin University of Technology and Education and Tianjin Light Industry Vocational Technical College.

The first World Vocational College Skills Competition was also held during the conference, on which Zhang Liming displayed and explained his new innovative results including the artificial intelligence distribution network of live working robots and new high pressure knife valve.
The innovation achievements displayed this time are all independently developed by Zhang Liming and his innovation team, which have been widely used in daily operation of the State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company, and have well solved the problems of safety, quality and efficiency, and formed good economic and social benefits.
According to Zhang Liming, the WVTEDC will boost the confidence of talents to achieve more innovations and creations. In the future, he will continue to lead his team to contribute more wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of the energy and power industry.
Based on regional resource endowment and industrial advantages, State Grid Tianjin Electric Power has cultivated a batch of landmark scientific and technological achievements represented by live working robots in distribution network. The company will continue to optimize the management and control of science and technology projects, and constantly enhance innovation capacity, a company official said.
