BEIJING, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe freight train loaded with windshields, tires and other auto parts pulled out from Changchun Monday, which marks the first China-Europe freight train special train for auto parts in Northeast China's Jilin Province, reported local media.
The train-the first of its kind in Jilin province, is customized for export enterprises in Jilin Province. The special train carries auto parts worth about 15.43 million yuan, and will finally arrive in Nuremberg of Germany after 26 days travelling more than10,400 kilometers.
Currently, Jilin handles 2 China-Europe train routes. From January to July this year, Jilin launched a total of 49 China-Europe freight trains, transporting 4900 TEUs, an increase of 16.6 percent year-on-year.
Changchun Xinglongshan Railway Station has a total of four enterprise-specific lines, mainly serving local enterprises in Jilin Province including FAW Group. It is learned that local railway department has taken measures to optimize service process and efficiency.
