BEIJING, July 20 (Xinhua) – An intelligent transformer internal detecting equipment newly developed by State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company recently passed the professional technical test and project acceptance check conducted by an industrial expert panel.
The equipment, which is expected to optimize the internal testing efficiency and quality of the transformer, can perform more efficient and stable detection work without affecting the internal environment of the transformer, according to Liu Liqing, a member of R&D team of the equipment.
Independently developed by the electric power research institute under the State Grid Tianjin, this intelligent detection device , given a name as "robotic fish", applies three-dimensional spatial positioning technology, attitude control technology, global path planning technology and image self-recognition technology, which can achieve an all-round cruise of 2 meters per minute horizontal cruise and 1.5 meters per minute vertical cruise, to further improves the detection accuracy.
According to the R&D team, the application of the equipment can shorten the transformer detection work period from 10 days to 1 day with lower inspection costs, to provide more reliable inspection work for power grid safety production services.
