BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Niu Technologies (Nasdaq: NIU) sold 208,857 two-wheeled electric vehicles in the second quarter of this year, reported Securities Daily on Tuesday.
Its domestic sales reached 180,299 units in the second quarter, demonstrating its product potential and market reputation despite the impact of the epidemic.
Meanwhile, the company saw its overseas market sales reach 28,558 units, an increase of 309.1 percent year on year. It was mainly attributable to the rapid growth in sales of electric scooters, whose sales reached 20,868 units in the second quarter, a record high.
Niu Technologies has been laying out the micro-travel market since last year. In the second half of this year, the launch of the new electric bicycle BQi will enable the company to improve its micro-travel product matrix and thus meet the demands of different users.
