InfoQuest (June 20, 2022) - According to Mr. Sinit Lertkrai, Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand, the Foreign Business Board has issued business licenses to 41 foreign companies in Thailand in May and their investment amount reaches 18.695 billion baht. These investors are modern enterprises with emerging technologies, such as electronic payment services, enterprise software, software for digital content, integrated circuit, and expertise related to oil drilling devices, and their investment in Thailand will provide employment opportunities, and promote the transfer of expertise and Thailand's economic development.
In May, a total of 12 foreign companies were interested in investing in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), accounting for 29 percent of the total investors, and their investment amount exceeded 15.16 billion baht, accounting for 81 percent of the total in May. Their investment fields mainly include data collection, sorting, sending and evaluation, and product use management, assembly and installation services for the production of electronic components; digital cameras, camera lens and accessories of digital cameras.
