BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Foreign enterprises remain optimistic about their development prospects in China and are satisfied with China's business environment, according to a survey released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on Monday.
Compared with the fourth quarter of last year, 71 percent of foreign companies surveyed maintained their business scale in the first quarter of this year, 16.4 percent expanded their business scale, and 72.1 percent increased their capital in China by more than 5 percent, according to the survey.
Besides, about 13.5 percent of surveyed foreign enterprises planed to ramp up investment in China in the future. More than half of foreign companies indicated that market and corporate strategies are the main reasons for scaling up investment in China, and 42.6 percent of foreign companies will select the Yangtze River Delta as the main destination for investment.
CCPIT spokesperson Yu Yi said that CCPIT has set up a task force to serve foreign enterprises so as to improve the regular communication mechanism with foreign business associations and foreign companies in China, understand the demands of foreign enterprises in a timely manner, and actively promote the resolution of difficulties encountered by foreign companies in investment, production and operation in China.
