InfoQuest (May 27, 2022) –Mr. Pitak Udomwichaiwat, Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade of Thailand (DFT) announced that the department has urged relevant riceexport authorities to implement the 2019 Regulation of the Ministry of Commerce Governing Export of Rice out of the Kingdom to maintain Thailand’s reputation in the global market.
To facilitate the rice exporters, the Ministry revised the Regulations from time to time, which simplified the export approval procedures, and also introduced digital technology. At present, exporters may register or apply for an export license through the electronic system.
