BEIJING, May 25(Xinhua) -- Kuaishou Technology (01024.HK), a leading content community and social platform in China, saw its revenue rise 23.8 percent year on year to 21.1 billion yuan (about 3.2 billion U.S. dollars) in the first quarter of this year, reported Shanghai Securities News on Wednesday.
Its quarterly financial report showed that online marketing service, live streaming service, and other service sectors including e-commerce contributed 53.9 percent, 37.2 percent and 8.9 percent to the total revenue respectively.
The company remained committed to "trusting in e-commerce". The gross merchandise volume (GMV) of e-commerce during January to March surged by 47.7 percent year on year to 175.1 billion yuan, with 99 percent coming from Kwai Shop.
Cheng Yixiao, founder and CEO of Kuaishou Technology, said that the company performed well in all aspects of business operations in the first quarter despite the challenging situation, with key operational metrics reaching record highs.
