InfoQuest (May 12, 2022) Mr. Phusit Rattanakul Sereeruengsit, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) announced that Thailand has been actively seeking opportunities to expand the export of Thai products. DITP lately received a report on opportunities for investment in the logistics industry in Vietnam.
At present, large logistics enterprises are expanding their investment in Vietnam to meet the growing demand for trade and transportation. Vietnam's logistics industry is growing at a rate of 14-16 percent per year, with market size of around US $40-42 billion.
Despite laws and regulations, Vietnam's logistics industry remains attractive to foreign investors. In addition, most of Vietnam's domestic logistics companies are small and lack infrastructure, technology and financial support. Meanwhile, Vietnam's foreign direct investment (FDI) showed a recovery trend, which is a good opportunity for Thai logistics service providers to develop international cooperation and expand the market.
