BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Customs of Xiamen, a coastal city in east China's Fujian Province, has recently put up 16 measures to promote stable and higher-quality foreign trade, reported Chinanews.com on May 15.
Focusing on improving customs clearance facilitation, benefiting enterprises and ensuring the stability of industrial and supply chains, the measures are to further stimulate the vitality of foreign trade market entities and the internal driving force of enterprise development.
Xiamen Customs will improve the inspection procedure, allowing enterprises to declare in advance to optimize customs clearance efficiency of imported goods, according to Cai Yi, an official with Xiamen Customs, noting that the Customs will further facilitate cross-border trade and shorten customs clearance time.
By providing special service channels for enterprises, conducting surveys on foreign trade facilitation, and opening a hotline for customs services, Xiamen Customs has been acknowledging the problems faced by enterprises and offering timely support.
At the same time, the Customs will strengthen its efforts in promoting policies of origin under international cooperation frameworks such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), rooting for the construction of major projects and trade of key products through comprehensive tax policies.
