May 10, 2022

InfoQuest (May 7, 2022) - Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Prayut Chan-o-cha announced that various measures were discussed at the meeting of the Centre for Economic Situation Administration (CESA) to promote tourism development. All these measures aim to bring tangible benefits to the Thai people.

The prime minister pointed out that the tourism industry was showing signs of recovery and the growth is expected to continue from the fourth quarter of this year to the first quarter of next year.

Due to COVID-19, several hotels were closed. The government will discuss how to help these hotels to improve their business.

The fifth phase of the 50-50 co-payment economic stimulus scheme is being studied, which aims to encourage consumption and generate revenue. But due to the limited budget, consideration must be given to the appropriate implementation of the program.
