BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhua) -- The first RCEP trade promotion center in central and western China was inaugurated in Yuzhong District, Chongqing Municipality on Wednesday, aiming to better serve the foreign trade enterprises in the area, reported Chinanews.com.
Located in Chongqing World Financial Center,Yuzhong District, the trade promotion center is expected to help more small- and medium-sized enterprises to enjoy RCEP opportunities and promote the development of foreign trade enterprises by providing information and consulting services such as upstream and downstream resource matching, supply chain finance and talent introduction.
As a window of innovation and opening-up of the city, Yuzhong District gathers 70 percent of Chongqing's foreign banks and insurance institutions, with its added value of financial industry accounting for 14.8 percent of the city.
Yuzhong District has a deep foundation and broad prospects for cooperation with Singapore, Japan and other RCEP member countries in the fields of international trade and cross-border finance, said Deng Guanghuai, deputy head of Yuzhong District.
