BEIJING, March 20 (Xinhua) -- The Agricultural Bank of China, one of the country's largest commercial lenders, has been increasing its financial support for the country's major sectors.
During the first two months, the bank issued new loans of more than 140 billion yuan (about 21.96 billion U.S. dollars) for China's centrally-administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs), an increase of more than 18 billion yuan year on year, the bank said.
It has offered financial services for major projects in infrastructure development, rural revitalization, green finance and advanced manufacturing.
During the January-February period, the bank provided agriculture-related central SOEs with loans worth 10 billion yuan for the purchase and storage of autumn grain and 800 million yuan for the preparation and supply of spring farming fertilizer.
