Statistics show that in the first two months of this year, Wuhan has launched 26 China-Europe freight trains, an increase of 18 percent year-on-year. A total of 2,022.94 tons of anti-epidemic materials such as masks, protective clothing, and surgical gowns have been transported to Germany, Poland, Italy and other European countries, an increase of 20.6 percent year-on-year.
Since the normalization of China-Europe freight trains at the end of March 2020, the number of monthly handled trains has gradually increased, from 4 to 6 trains per month initially to the current maximum of 12 to 14 trains per month, showing a strong growth momentum.
Presently, the Wuhan China-Europe freight train has formed three outbound channels, namely west, middle and east, passing through four ports of Manzhouli, Erenhot, Alashankou and Horgos. Meanwhile, its route extended to Helsinki, Finland, with a maximum line distance of 13,000 kilometers, which further delivers Hubei's export trade to the Baltic countries.
Besides, Wuhan freight cargo has also continuously improved the goods quality in return journey. On January 12 and January 30, the Swedish cars and Dutch dairy products special trains arrived in Wuhan, which further enriched Chinese consumers' choices in domestic market.
