BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- North China's Tianjin Port officially opened its first ocean route to Australia after the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement came into force, reported Shanghai Securities News Tuesday.
As the first direct ocean route between Tianjin and Australia, it will further strengthen the integration of industrial and supply chains in the region, and promote the country's dual circulation development paradigm.
The new route has shortened the shipping time from Tianjin to Australia from 35 to 45 days to 21 days. It mainly serves enterprises in central China for exporting steel products, furniture, food, electronic products, and etc. At the same time, local seasonal quality goods will be imported from Australia.
