BEIJING, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangxi Province will accelerate development of virtual reality (VR) industry, striving to achieve an operating revenue of 80 billion yuan from VR and related industries this year, Jiangxi Daily reported on Monday quoting data from the Science and Technology Department of Jiangxi Province.
According to the authority, Jiangxi will craft more than ten industry-leading innovation platforms. Meanwhile, the province will introduce and cultivate groups of talents for VR high-end research and development, management, and application innovation.

In order to accomplish the objectives, the province will take multiple approaches. For example, it will optimize the content setting of the World Conference on VR Industry, which has been held annually in the capital city of Nanchang since 2018, by integrating elements related to metaverse so as to create a favorable environment for the VR industry development.
