BEIJING, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- China will draw up a green development roadmap for the auto industry to reach its carbon peak and neutrality goals, reported Shanghai Securities News Wednesday.
In 2021, China's new energy viehicle (NEV) sales reached 3.52 million units, up 160 percent from 2020, ranking first globally for a seventh straight year.
In addition, efforts have been made to foster an enabling environment for NEVs. The construction of charging infrastructure has been further strengthened. As a result, in 2021, the country had built 936,000 charging piles, 14,000 changing stations and 725 battery-swap stations, up 193 percent, 90 percent and 356 percent year on year respectively.
It is learned that 2022 is a critical year for the further development of NEVs. It is necessary to carry out supportive policies to stabilize market expectations.
