InfoQuest (December 22, 2021) - According to Mr. Surapong Paisitpattanapong, Vice President and Spokesman of the Automotive Chapter of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), Thailand's car exports reached 98,829 units this November, an increase of 32.60 percent YOY and 21.15 percent over October this year, and the total value of exports was 57,737 million baht, up 35.30 percent YOY, marking the highest in the past eight months. With the global economic recovery, growth has been seen in all auto markets.
Domestic car sales in November were 71,716 units, down 3.2 percent from the same month last year, but up 11.25 percent from October. It also hit an 8-month high. The main reasons for growth include incentive policies and an increase in people's confidence.
The production of cars in November reached 165,353 units, the highest in 12 months, and it is believed that the target of 1.6 million units throughout this year will be surpassed.
