BEIJING, Dec.13 (Xinhua) -- KPMG China has recently opened an office in Dongguan of south China's Guangdong Province to reinforce its presence in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), reported Shanghai Securities News Monday.
KPMG China refers to member firms and affiliates of global consulting firm KPMG operating in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. According to the company, the Dongguan office is its seventh office in the GBA and its 30th office in China.
As the forefront of China's reform and opening-up and an important engine of China's economic growth, the GBA has become an important growth pole driving global economic development and a leader in technological innovation, said Honson To, Chairman of KPMG China and Asia Pacific, adding that the establishment of the Dongguan office reflects KPMG's determination to contribute to the development of the GBA.
According to him, KMPG has had over 14,000 employees in China, and will continue to hire employees in China in the next three years to increase the number to an estimate of 20,000, so as to satisfy the growing demand for accounting and consulting services driven by the deep integration of economic and financial markets within the GBA, and to further facilitate the flow of talents in the area.
Ricky Wong, Vice Chairman of KPMG China, introduced that KPMG's professional team in Dongguan would provide local enterprises with high-quality and tailored services covering audit, tax and consulting, etc. to help these enterprises realize transformation and upgrading and boost the development and expansion of advanced manufacturing industry clusters in this city.
